Autumn Leaves
Throughout much of North America, trees are getting ready to shed their leaves. In some areas, these solar collectors will turn brilliant yellows, reds, and oranges before fluttering to the groundgiving us plenty to rake up. Why do some leaves change color in their final days while others just turn a mousy brown before drying to a crisp? This site explains what happens and offers some science experiments that focus on those falling leaves.
